When it comes to memory you are probably better off using genuine Toshiba notebook parts on that but hard drives are made by other manufacturers and you need to check your manual for compatibility.
The screen for a laptop is not upgradable. If you need a larger or higher resolution screen then your only choice is buying a new laptop.
Dead notebook
Notebooks have come a long way from the days when just the slightest movement could damage the hard drive but they are still very fragile. Dropping a notebook that is not in a protective case will probably cause serious damage to the circuits. Even a protective case is not a guarantee of the notebook surviving and there isn’t any amount of Toshiba notebook parts in the world that will save a drowned notebook that wasn’t meant to swim.
Stuff That Can Be Fixed
Even thought notebook screens cannot be upgraded they can be repaired. A bad battery and also the main power supply can be replaced as well.
Using Toshiba notebook parts the CD-Rom and DVD drive can be upgraded or replaced.
