Inserting Audio and Video into Web Pages
Over the last few years audio and video have become increasingly popular features on web sites. Both types of media, audio and video, can bring a website alive and give it that extra something that will appeal to visitors.
Unfortunately inserting multimedia isn’t always that easy and can be a bit fiddly, particularly for people who are new to building web sites.
Luckily, there is one web site design tool that takes away all the difficulty and makes it a quick and easy task. That software is XSitePro. I’ve not come across any website design software, or other software, that makes it so incredibly simple to add an audio file or a video.
Both types of media are inserted using what are known as XSitePro wizards. The Audio Wizard takes pretty much every format of audio file you will come across (MP3, etc) and the Video Wizard takes most standard video files (AVI, etc) and converts them into a format and size that is appropriate for streaming across the web.
These two wizards are ideal for beginners as they make the process very straight forward and take away all the complexity that you would otherwise have to struggle through, but they’re not just useful aids for beginners or newcomers to web site design.
Power users can also benefit hugely from the Audio and Video Wizards, as they save a considerable amount of time. Instead of you requiring numerous different tools to convert the audio or video, generate the code, and upload the files, it is all done using one tool. This certainly makes it a lot easier for adding multimedia to sites, and a lot more pleasurable than having to juggle several tools to achieve this same goal.
So, if you’ve struggled with adding audio and video to your sites, or have avoided making use of multimedia when building your websites because your worried it is beyond your abilities, now you have no excuse.
