How you can get people all over the world to buy your knowledge

business accounting software

I make instructional videos like the one above for business owners and their teams who are using our system to replace small business accounting software such as Quickbooks (the one above took me about an hour). Everyone should master the essential skills of turning what they know into digital content and how to market and sell it online to a worldwide audience. The optimum approach is to focus on creating and selling your own product as all of the income you make will be yours and not have to be shared with others.

Online video as popularised by YouTube and Podcasting is central to the method I will share with you for delivering your expertise and knowledge to your target audience. I can deliver my small business accounting software through just about every modal via the internet and guess what the traffic just follows.

The first thing I want to share with you is a technique called storyboarding as it helps to create the essential structure and format for how you will share your knowledge with your audience. I use two techniques to create the storyboard for my video, slide making software such as Microsoft powerpoint or Apple’s Keynote or a mind mapping program such as Mindmeister or Bubbl (these can both be found by entering the name into Google search. Do not spend a single dime or penny before you have made any money, I know for a fact it is entirely possible to get your storyboard created and your video made and sell it with out incurring any expense what so ever.

There is a great tool for producing videos that will stream from YouTube or are downloadable as a podcast or Quicktime or Windows Media Player video its called TechSmith Camtasia Studio and their site contains loads of really easy to follow tutorials that you should watch, but whatever you do don’t download the thirty day trial yet. Get your storyboard sorted and ready and make sure you fully understand how you are going to use the Camtasia software (watch the tutorials…yes all of them!!) before you download the trial as you only have use of the software for thirty days.

OK this was a brief overview of what tools you have to have to hand and get to grips with and in the next lesson which hopefully will be published on this blog in the next few days (owners permitting) I will go through a detailed description of how I create my small business accounting software videos.
